Ahmed Samir appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry

The House of Representatives approved a cabinet reshuffle that included 13 ministerial portfolios, and it was decided to appoint Ahmed Samir Saleh, Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, as the Minister of Trade and Industry.

 

 

In 1996, Ahmed Samir Saleh graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.He has held several positions, including:

 

From October 2016 to October 2018, he was the Chairman of the Industry Committee – House of Representatives.

 

Since 2018, as Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives.

 

He has participated in the preparation of a number of laws, the most important of which are: Regulation of Non-Cash Payment Means – Amendments to the Investment Law – Central Bank and Banking Sector Law No. 194 of 2020 – Other laws related to financial control.

 

Head of the Egyptian-Belarusian Parliamentary Friendship Association from 2018 to date. Head of the Egyptian-Chilean Parliamentary Friendship Association from 2019 to date.

 

Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the 6th of October City Investors Association for Foreign Relations from 2012 to 2016 Member of the 6th of October Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2015.

 

Member of the 6th of October Association of Investors from 2006 to 2010.
