The Cairo Chamber of Commerce, headed by Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby, President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, and in cooperation with the Egyptian Tax Authority, organised a seminar last Wednesday to raise awareness of the mechanised tax return system among its traders.

Attendees included a large number of members of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce as well as Mr. Wael Sayed, Director of the Technical Office in the Research and International Agreements Sector, Mr. Sawsan Sayed, Director of the Technical Office at the Senior Financiers Center of the Tax Authority.

The seminar addressed the details and features of the automated tax return system in light of the upcoming tax returns season, which will start on January 1 and end on April 30, 2023.

Engineer Ibrahim El-Araby said that this seminar comes as part of a series of seminars organised by the Chamber to educate our members about the latest developments, not only at the level of the automated tax return system but in any system that is applied or even at the level of decisions and economic developments. 

El-Araby stressed the significance of this seminar, particularly given the start of the tax return season and the establishment of a language of dialogue between Tax Authority specialists and Chamber employees about the automated tax return system and all of its details directly and responding to inquiries, which facilitates the use of this system.
