Ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan, the commercial chambers in the governorates are committed to securing goods and services at reasonable costs, according to Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir on Tuesday.
According to Samir, the chambers' actions ensure that no arbitrary increases are made.
He discussed the ability of the government and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to issue significant amounts of goods and manufacturing materials worth more than $5 billion.
The minister made it clear that this should assist increase production rates at food manufacturers, boosting the amount of commodities available on the market to fulfil consumers' needs.
