Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Araby, chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, commissioned "Cairo Chamber Operations" to speed up the procedures for organizing exhibitions and commodity outlets in the governorate during this January and announced that the Chamber’s board of directors is in a state of permanent session until completing the exhibition arrangements, in preparation for receiving Ramadan and implementing the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directives to support citizens with low-priced commodities.

This came during a meeting of the members of the Board of Directors of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, which was attended by the members of the Board of Directors and the heads and members of the business divisions, as well as Major General Dr. Abdel-Naim Hamed, Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Director of the Supply Directorate in Cairo.

Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby stressed the importance of the role played by the operations chamber, formed by the Cairo Chamber, in which representatives from the governorate and the Supply Directorate participate, instructing it to declare a state of emergency to follow up on outstanding issues, including establishing exhibitions and commodity outlets and resolving any obstacles that may face the implementation process as soon as possible.

El-Araby called on the Chamber's members to put the largest discount rates on the commodities' prices in these exhibitions and outlets.

Major General Dr. Abdel-Naim Hamed, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Director of the Supply Directorate in Cairo, affirmed his full support for organizing exhibitions and commodity outlets and solving any problems facing merchants.

He pointed out that there will be great coordination in the coming period to support citizens through the exhibitions in light of the preparation for Ramadan.

He added that he is going to discuss all the proposals presented by "the Chamber Joint Operations" regarding exhibitions, outlets, and controlling the market, praising the societal role of the Chamber in implementing the state’s directions and contributing to controlling the market.
