The Cairo Chamber of Commerce headed by Eng. Ibrahim El-Araby, President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, received "mikhiel Tigishvll", Chargé d'Affaires of the Georgian Embassy in Cairo, to discuss ways to increase the Egyptian-Georgian economic relations and to increase the joint Egyptian-Georgian trade exchange. This comes within the Chamber's plan to attract more investments and support Egyptian exports to develop the national economy during the next stage.

Engineer Sameh Zaky, Vice President of the Cairo Chamber, on behalf of Engineer Ibrahim El-Araby, stressed the importance of coordination between the Chamber and the Embassy during the coming period and the organisation of bilateral meetings between Egyptian businessmen and their Georgian counterparts to display the investment opportunities available in the two countries, especially in light of the facilities that the Egyptian government is currently making and encouraging it to invest in the local market.

Zaky pointed out that there are many Egyptian products that can be exported to the Georgian market to increase Egyptian exports and support trade exchange, especially in light of the data that the chamber will provide to the Georgian embassy and businessmen about the Egyptian market and its available investment opportunities that can be taken advantage of, stressing that coordination between the embassy and the chamber is of particular importance in developing economic relations between the two countries and that the exchange of visits through delegations from both parties represents an important step towards increasing the volume of trade exchange and supporting joint investments between the two countries, which we will focus on in the coming period.

The Georgian Embassy's Charge d'Affaires, Mikhiel Tigishvili, stated that this visit was made in order to advance the development of the Egyptian-Georgian business ties, which are actively coordinated with the Chamber.
