Cairo Chamber of Commerce and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sign Protocol to Boost Trade and Investment between Egypt and Pakistan

The protocol was signed during a visit by the Pakistani delegation to the Cairo Chamber to explore ways to enhance cooperation in the upcoming period. The protocol aims to exchange information and delegations, as well as discuss all available investment and trade opportunities in both countries, and to seek to establish trade and investment partnerships that benefit the economies of both countries.

 

 

 

During the event, the Deputy Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce emphasized the significance of augmenting production and exports by transitioning from bilateral trade collaboration based solely on import and export to tripartite cooperation. He also highlighted the importance of knowledge and expertise exchange and leveraging the benefits of free trade agreements that Egypt has signed with various economic blocs, including the Arab Free Trade Area, the continental free trade area in Africa, COMESA, the Egypt-European Partnership "EFTA", Mercosur, and the Agadir Agreement.

 

 

 

The President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed his view that the protocol marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation between the two chambers to enhance bilateral economic relations. He added that the signed protocol would facilitate access to more information about the markets of both countries, enabling the business communities to identify opportunities for cooperation that will lead to an increase in trade and investment between Egypt and Pakistan in the near future.
