The Cairo Chamber of Commerce formed its executive board on Sunday for the new electoral term 2023-2027. The session was chaired by General Salah El-Abd and attended by Shady El-Koumy, the oldest and youngest members, respectively.

 

 

Ayman Ashry was elected as the Chairman of the chamber, with Sherif Yahia and Sayed El-Nawawi as the First and Second Vice Chairmen. General Salah El-Abd was elected as the Treasurer, Ashraf Khedr as the Assistant Treasurer, and Ashraf El-Shemy as the General Secretary of the chamber. Additionally, Emad Qenawy was selected to represent the Cairo Chamber in the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce.

 

 

The chamber's board of directors includes Tarek El-Sallab, Khaled Hassanein, Mohamed Mahran, Ahmed El-Weisimy, Mohamed Montasser, Ehab Said, Mohamed Samy, Ibrahim El-Maghraby, Shady El-Koumy, Abdel Fattah El-Mahjoub, Ahmed Abdel Hameed, Hany El-Rawas, Naglaa Abdel Monaem, Amir Nader Riyad, and Ahmed El-Najjar.

 

 

Ayman Ashry, the recently appointed Head of the Cairo Chamber, greeted the fresh board of directors following the meeting, articulating his optimism for a productive term characterized by accomplishments and synergistic efforts. He envisaged this period as contributing to the prosperity of chamber members across diverse commercial endeavors, as well as aligning with the nation's economic priorities and the realization of governmental guidelines, encompassing economic and social spheres.

 

 

"Ashry" emphasized the importance of utilizing all available resources within the Board of Directors, given the presence of esteemed and respected figures. These individuals include both the members who were part of the previous term and the new members who have joined this Board.

 

 

The formation of the commercial chamber offices is based on the decisions of Engineer Ahmed Samir, the Minister of Trade and Industry, under numbers 272, 273, and 274 of the year 2023, published in the Egyptian Official Gazette on August 10, 2023. These decisions specify the names of individuals appointed to the boards of directors of the chambers of commerce in the provinces and call for the election of executive board members in all provinces by Tuesday, August 15, 2023."
