Mr. Ayman Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, received the Czech attaché at the Czech Embassy, Ondrej Cuchy, to discuss new ways to enhance investment and industrial cooperation, as well as increasing the volume of mutual trade. The meeting took place on Wednesday in the presence of Mr. Sherif Yahia, Deputy President of the Cairo Chamber.

During the meeting, discussions were held on strengthening industrial and trade cooperation in the upcoming phase through increased coordination between the Cairo Chamber and the Czech Embassy, which serves as a link between the Egyptian business community and its Czech counterparts.

Mr. Ayman Ashry stated that the relations between Egypt and the Czech Republic are historical and provide fertile ground for enhancing mutual cooperation in various economic fields. He highlighted the recent advancements in Egypt across all levels, with encouraging infrastructure for investment and the Egyptian political leadership's support for investors, along with an increased role of the private sector.

The chairman of the Cairo Chamber emphasized the importance of the Egyptian state's direction to support manufacturing in various industries. This encourages Czech companies to collaborate with Egyptian counterparts to establish industries and investments in the Egyptian market, particularly given the establishment of various industrial zones across Egyptian provinces.

Mr. Ayman Ashry added: "Opening a dialogue and providing information are essential for the Cairo Chamber, which will furnish all details about the Egyptian market, investment opportunities, governmental incentives for investors, and facilitating procedures for new investments. Similarly, the Czech side needs to provide us with the necessary data about the Czech market and its demand for Egyptian products. With the presence of high-quality Egyptian products that have global standards, the Czech market can benefit from them. Ultimately, this will lead to Egyptian-Czech partnerships in various sectors that will contribute to the economies of both countries."

Mr. Ayman Ashry further emphasized: "We are fully prepared to cooperate and engage immediately in the manufacturing process, benefiting from the broader Egyptian approach to localizing the Egyptian industry and establishing partnerships between Egyptian and Czech companies. Additionally, we are keen on participating in exhibitions held in both countries. This includes the participation of the Egyptian side in Czech exhibitions and the Czech side in Egyptian exhibitions. Such efforts serve the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations, increasing exports and imports between the two countries. This will ultimately lead to an elevation in the volume of bilateral trade."

On his part, the Czech Commercial Attaché mentioned that his visit to the Cairo Chamber aims to initiate new cooperation between Egyptian and Czech companies across all sectors and to increase the level of mutual trade, which hasn't yet matched the potential of the relationship between the two countries. He noted that the Egyptian direction towards industrial localization has encouraged Czech companies to explore this trend, leading to the establishment of Egyptian-Czech companies. He cited examples of Czech companies entering the Egyptian medical field.

The Commercial Attaché highlighted that several Czech companies will participate in an upcoming Water Week event in Cairo, which supports economic relations between both parties in this field and others. He mentioned that the upcoming phase will witness coordination with the Cairo Chamber to hold more meetings between the business communities of both countries, aimed at enhancing bilateral economic relations.

The Commercial Attaché invited the Egyptian side to visit the Czech Republic as a step to boost bilateral relations and open new avenues of cooperation in various sectors. He also mentioned that a specialized transport exhibition will take place in the Czech Republic in the coming October, and Egyptian participation in it will further strengthen bilateral relations in the upcoming period.
