Ayman Al-Ashari, the Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, commended the decision of the Cabinet during its meeting today, chaired by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, to suspend onion exports for a period of three months, ending at the close of this year. This move is part of efforts to control prices in the market.

The Chairman of the Cairo Chamber stated that, according to a report from the Chamber's Vegetables and Fruits Division, the Cabinet's approval to halt onion exports will lead to a decrease in onion prices in the coming period. This is especially important as the new production seasons will increase the onion supply in the market, thus achieving greater market stability in this sector, which holds particular importance for citizens.

The Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce added that the Vegetables and Fruits Division monitors the trade activity in its sector daily and provides the Chamber's Board of Directors with the latest updates.
