Egypt-Tunisia Business Ties in Focus: Embassy Meeting Seeks Trade and Investment Boost.

The Tunisian ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Mohamed Ben Youssef, organized a meeting in the presence of the Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Ms. Ferial El Wargy ElSebai. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed El Wakil, Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Ayman Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Sherif Yehcia, Vice Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Abdel Alim Nour, Chairman of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Business Council, Engineer Maged El Menzalawi, Chairman of the Industry Committee at the Businessmen's Association, Engineer Mohamed Atef, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Africa Trade Sector - Sweidi Electric Group, and a number of Tunisian businessmen, to discuss ways of economic cooperation during the coming period.

 

 

The discussions dealt with ways to increase the volume of trade and investment exchange between Egypt and Tunisia in all fields in a manner commensurate with the historical relations between the two countries and how to exchange delegations and visits that lead to supporting joint bilateral economic relations.

 

 

The two sides stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in various fields to develop the economies of the two countries in light of the trade and investment opportunities available in the two countries, which Egyptian and Tunisian businessmen should benefit from by discussing market requirements and intensifying reciprocal visits that enable them to establish new investments in the two countries.

 

 

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ayman Ashry presented the Cairo Chamber Shield to Ms. Frial El Wargy ElSebai, Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, as well as to the Tunisian ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Mohamed Ben Youssef.
