Egyptian-Saudi Talks Aim to Boost Trade and Investment

Mr.Ayman Ashry, Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Anwar Ayedh Bin Husomeh, Commercial Attaché of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Cairo, in the presence of Mr.Sherif Yahia, Vice Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, to discuss new avenues of cooperation to increase the volume of joint trade and investment.

 

 

Cairo Chamber’s Chairman stressed the importance of increasing bilateral investments for the Egyptian and Saudi business communities, noting that there is mutual interest in various sectors, including industry, tourism, renewable energy, and other sectors with significant investment opportunities. He proposed developing a plan to enhance economic relations at the bilateral level.

 

 

Mr.Ashry highlighted the significance of linking the Cairo Chamber with its Saudi counterparts through the embassy to enhance cooperation, particularly regarding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both countries. He emphasized that such meetings aim to open direct communication channels between the business communities in both countries to provide joint cooperation opportunities, exchange expertise in all fields, and explore modern training methods for business development.

 

 Mr. Sherif Yahia emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the Cairo Chamber and the Saudi Embassy during the coming period and organizing bilateral meetings between the business communities in the two countries to explore ways to increase joint cooperation and strive to establish trade and investment partnerships that will enhance the volume of Egyptian-Saudi trade and investment. He expressed aspirations to double joint investments between the two countries to match the depth and strength of the historical relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

 

 In light of the two countries' long history, Anwar Ayedh Bin Husomeh, the Commercial Attaché of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo, confirmed that the goal of his visit to the Cairo Chamber is to encourage businessmen in both countries to work together more in the future to promote trade exchange, maximize investments in real estate and tourism, and enter into industrial integration to create real added value and job opportunities for the youth of the two countries. He declared that in order to promote bilateral business contacts, there will be more coordination with the Cairo Chamber of Commerce in the upcoming phase.
