Trading with the Globe©

Maximizing the benefits from preferential trade agreements

Program Content

Preferential trade agreements are meant to promote economic integration through trade and investment. Great potential lies among trade partners especially with the efforts for trade liberalization. At least 90% of Egypt’s exports are directed to trade partners with which preferential agreements are applied, a matter that highlights the importance of the preferential treatment granted under Egypt’s trade agreements.

Trading with the Globe© is an intensified program designed to help Egyptian companies understand those preferential trade agreements and maximize their benefits from them. The program provides useful information on preferential tariffs and rules of origin under those agreements. It also offers space for discussing trade barriers in exporting to those trade partners and suggests practical solutions for dealing with them.
