Chamber of medicine demands that presidential candidates and political parties pay more attention to the medicine file

The Chamber of medicine industry at Federation of industries demanded that  potential presidential

 

candidates should adopt the medicine industry problems include in their election programs ,

 

and  activate it in case of their success.  the medicine  is not less important than the fundamental

 

problems such as energy, water, and bread 

 

 

The President of the Chamber, Dr. Majdi  elbba , confirmed that the pharmaceutical industry

 

has suffered from negligence of officials, and that is will result in Serious bad consequences like closing

 

factories during the coming period if the situation continues as it is.

 

He pointed out   in a statement of the Chamber, that most of the candidates for the presidency

 

and even political parties do not place medicine among its priorities, and there is no party in Egypt is

 

interested in drug problems and finding solutions to them.

 

He said that the medicine is considered a national-security to Egypt like food and weapons,

 

adding that the pharmaceutical industry is suffering from the deterioration of deliberately negligence

 

 from officials, and intervention  of non-specialists in industry.

 

He drew attention to the need to differentiate between health and medicine, which is considered

 

national, political and social security, besides  investment and industry at the same time, but health

 

is completely different  from the health system, although it is a part of it.

 

Finally,  the President of the Chamber said in his statement that medicine is not only

 

for treatment only, but is an essential element of the country sovereignty, in order not to be under

 

pressure from foreign countries control concerning the health and life of Egyptian citizen, pointing out that

 

local drug companies provide more than 90% of the volume of the current  medicine in local market  and

 

the needs of Egyptian patients
