Cairo Chamber: abundance of municipal and imported meat and fish

According to the report of meat importers Cairo Chamber of Commerce Explained that there is

 

abundance of imported meat after the government had imported amounts of live and frozen meat at

 

consumer cooperatives   in order to increase the supply and adjust the prices. The kilo price of  Brazilian

 

meat  ranging between 36 and 38 pounds and is expected to fall during Ramadan between 34 and 36

 

pounds, and the Indian  meat from 32 and 33 and for the popular front pieces to 30 and 31.

 

 

While the report of meat Division indicates that there is a abundance of the municipal meat, which

 

makes things stable during the month of Ramadan and prices will remain as it was two months ago.

 

The kilo of Kunduze meat sold at a price ranging between 65 and 75 pounds.

 

 

 

The report also indicates that the fisheries sector is witnessing abundant supply that makes steadier

 

prices, especially in the popular fish such as tilapia and mullet.  Ramadan this year will come in line with

 

the production of fish farms, which begins in next July and August, which means there is no increase in

 

prices due to oversupply despite currently  fishing season is stopped. The kilo of tilapia fish price is

 

varying between 13 and 15 pounds and mullet from 23 to 30 pounds and porgy fish from 10 to 15

 

pounds, while price of shrimps is from 40 to 150 pounds.
