The report issued by Division of Food issued at Cairo Chamber of Commerce revealed increase in some food prices during August compared to July, and in particular the prices of oils and greases.

Mixture of oil prices increased by 6%, Sunflower Oil 9%, corn oil 20% and vegetable Oil 2 kg at a price of 21 pounds and butter oil weight of 700 grams at a price of 40 pounds, and of 1800 grams at a price of 96.5 pounds, while imported butter 38 pounds. This increase in August compared to the last month is due to many offers and discounts, which ended this month.

 

For the prices of legumes, there is an increase of 13% compared to last month. kilo of beans sold at a price of 13 pounds, imported kidney bean 9 pounds, local dried kidney beans 13 pounds, yellow lentils 10 pounds and Macaroni of 400 grams at a price of 2.25 pounds without any increase, but luxury imported Macaroni has increased, which sold at a price of 5.25 pounds, has an increase of 6% from the previous month.
