Cairo Chamber of Commerce: Decision of closing stores double-edged sword.

Dr. Abdulaziz Alsayed, Division of poultry Chief at Cairo Chamber of Commerce said that closing stores at ten pm is a good decision To reduce power cuts, which resulting in  losses for stores.

 

He added that the Government should treat equally all stores without exception so that any store do not make a profit at the expense of the other, in addition to closing stores  will lead to Reduce shifts which would increase unemployment as a result of reducing the number of employment.

 

Jalal Omran, Deputy chief of the food Division at Cairo Chamber  said that

the decision excludes hypermarkets  and supermarkets, to which  citizens would go in case of closing small stores, adding that if  this decision  had been applied to all stores to be closed at the  same  time, This action would not  have caused a loss to anyone .

He added that  closing stores  commensurate with the labor law, which stipulates that work time is 8 hours, pointing out that the decision is right and it would help to solve the problem of power cuts  that we are experiencing now ,and Cafés should  close in a certain time at 12 am, because it is considered  places for leisure .
