Cairo Chamber of Commerce members welcomed the opening of ”Goustol land port" between Egypt and Sudan,
stressing that this will boost the investment and commercial transactions between both countries during the
coming period.
Eng. Ibrahim AlAraby stated that the government is eager to complete the proposed investment
projects between Egypt and Sudan to increase the volume of trade exchange, and this land port will
contribute in meeting the needs of the two countries, especially in food, agricultural projects and the
establishment of industrial zones.
AlAraby stressed that this opening has a substantial positive results on the movement of trade,individuals,
and also the mutual cooperation, Calling for the need to take all the necessary measures for continuing the
flow of commercial activities in exports and imports, opening a new outlets to force the Egyptian exports to
African markets.
He said that chambers of commerce will have a central role in supporting the Egyptian-Sudanese relations
in the next stage by opening an economic language and investment opportunities existing in the Egyptian
market and this is what the chamber already has begun recently after receiving a delegation of South Sudan
at its headquarters to discuss ways of increasing trade and investment in the upcoming period.
