The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Cairo announces that Kenya Ferry Services Limited (KFS) is a state corporation established under the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure with the core mandate of managing ferry services in Kenya and associated links in East Africa. KFS currently operates ferry services across the Likoni channel at the south end of Mombasa City, and ferries over 300,000 pedestrians and over 6,000 vehicles daily across the channel.

The company invites sealed bids from capable and duly eligible firms for designing, building, supply and commissioning of two new passenger/vehicle ferries as shown below.

Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at the office of the Procurement & Supplies Manager located at Kenya Ferry Services Ltd Headquarters Likoni Mainland South Gaza Road during normal office working hours upon payment of a non­refundable tender fee as indicated above per set of tender documents in cash or in Bankers cheque payable at KFS cash office.

Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender number and submitted in the manner prescribed in the tender document, clearly indicated:

"DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 1000 HOURS ON TUESDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2014"
