Yesterday during a visit of Croation Ambassador to Cairo Chamber Engineer/ Ibrahim AlAraby deputy chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of Cairo Chamber discussed with Croatian ambassador (Darko Javorisky) ways of increasing investments in Egypt to support trade and investment relations between the two countries in the next stage.

 

AlAraby said that stability and the promising investment opportunities in all areas started to prevail in Egypt, especially in (the new Suez Canal project), which would serve Egypt and foreign States through the planned expansions that occur on all levels.

 

He called Croatian Ambassador to form a delegation of Croatian businessmen and entrepreneurs to hold an extended meeting with Egyptian counterparts to identifying investment opportunities in Egypt both in Suez Canal or in any other regions in Egypt, saying that the coming period will witness  support for investments, whether internal or external, facilitating the procedures, to achieve the required development, targeted by the country, Pointing out that he arrangements and good preparations for this meeting  will be made  soon as possible ,which is welcomed by the Croatian side.

 

He said that we must take advantage of the Protocol signed by Zagreb and Cairo Chambers in overcoming obstacles faced by investors in coordination with government officials of the two countries.

Croatian Ambassador praised the "new Suez Canal project" and said his country considers Egyptian markets as a promising one .in Egypt Croation Investments are estimated at $ 450 million only in  oil and  there are companies that invest in other areas, their investments reach to   $ 50 million like  marble And quarries and exploration of gas and water.

 

The ambassador added that currently Egypt witnesses Political stability, which positively reflects on the economy and investment in the Egyptian market and attracted the attention of Croatian businessmen.

The support of the economic relations between the two Cairo and Zagreb would increase investment in Egypt to double the current investments, especially after the events that will take place between members of the two chambers in the coming period, adding to the surge in import and export between Egypt and Croatia recently.
