A meeting of Butchers Division at Cairo Chamber of Commerce

Butchers Division was held under chairmanship of Mr. / Mohammed Wahba at Cairo Chamber premises on Monday, an expanded meeting to discuss the market situation and the problems of this sector.

 

Mr.  Mohammed Wahba Chief of butchers Division demanded the Ministry of Agriculture to make future development plans for livestock sector, adding that the presence of a five-year plan should include the stages of livestock development, which are considered the most important factor for keeping the meat sector and price stability.

 

He added that in spite of price stability, but there is a recession in the movement of sales, because the prices ranged between 75 and 80 pounds, and some of the decline in the prices of veal, the price of a kilo dropped to 75 pounds instead of 80 to 85 pounds during the last period.

 

He referred that Tax Authority canceled the agreement, which was concluded for accounting this sector in 2005, and now it starts to estimate randomly to the owners of shops causing big problems for butcher's shop therefore called for a meeting with tax officials to discuss the crisis, which will affect the meat sector in the coming period.
