Pursuant to the vital role which is carried out by Cairo Chamber of Commerce and its working to promote and increase trade relations, and  economic promotion for increasing investment between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the outside world and finding Appropriate means of communication between Egyptians and foreigners exporters, importers, producers.

For achieving this target  Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al Araby- Cairo Chamber's Chairman , Eng. Sameh Zaky- Cairo Chamber's board member  Mr. Ahmed Yahiya chief of grocery Division met with  Minister, Athanasios makrandrio ,the economic and commercial Commissioner in Greece

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr/ Ibrahim Mahmoud AlAraby welcomed the honorable guests.

The Greek Minister said that this is the second visit to Egypt and he  is keen to look at modern Egypt. And a Greek ministerial trade delegate will visit Egypt on Dec. 4, 2014,consists of  50 to 95 Greek company including the following activities :

(Energy-renewable energy-building materials-construction – foodstuff-chemicals-metal products – electronic appliances-tourism-softwares). 

Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al Araby- Cairo Chamber's Chairman suggested inviting The Federation of industries, Greek-Arab Chamber and Businessmen Association to participate in meeting with Greek companies on December 4, 2014.

The Greek economic and commercial Commissioner explained that Egyptian exports to Greece last year,  increased by 150 per cent and Egypt came in sixth rank among the nations of the world's total imports from the State of Greece.

He added that Greek Companies want to increase Greek investments  in Egypt in various fields and establishing joint ventures .in addition to this There is a Greek company has expressed a desire to establish a special factory for renal failure treatment equipment in Egypt.

Engineer / Ibrahim AlAraby has proposed to hold a preparatory meeting with Minister, Athanasios makrandrio ,the economic and commercial Commissioner in Greece at Cairo Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, November 9, 2014 to meet with Chamber members, who wishing to attend the meeting on December 4, 2014 in order to identify  the activities of Greek companies coming to Egypt.

Mr.Sameh Zaki added that we are interested in dealing with Greece that will have a vital role, especially after the opening of the new Suez Canal, and we are keen to have trade, investments and partnership between Egypt and Greece, and our doors are always open to our friends.

In the end of the meeting Mr. Ibrahim AlAraby thanked the honorable guests for their visit to Cairo Chamber promising for meeting soon and wishing fruitful cooperation between the both sides.
