Poultry Division at Cairo Chamber held a meeting on Wednesday 12 November in the presence of representatives of some concerned parties, to discuss the development of the sector and solving the problems.

Dr. / Abdul Aziz, President of the Division explained that he will discuss the problem of establishing slaughterhouses away of  residential block, pointing out that a proposal was made to the Governor of Cairo to allocate land with an area of 250 acres at the region of El-Saff ,which was intended for rearing pigs  to establish  poultry slaughterhouses  serving  Greater Cairo, in addition to discussing the establishment of a balanced system through stability of  feed prices and importing  sufficient amounts for a period of 6 months and storing them.

He confirmed that he will raise awareness on complying with necessary procedures especially in the beginning of winter season to prevent epidemic diseases which affect supplying volume of poultry in the market.

As for prices, he said that that the price of a kilo of poultry reached up to 10.5 pounds in farms and egg cartoon 15.5 pounds, adding that these prices may change in the range of 50 pts. Up and down.
