Report on visit of Malaysian delegation to Cairo Chamber

Based on the leading role carrying out by Cairo Chamber of Commerce to encourage, promote,

and increase trade and economic relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the outside world,

finding appropriate ways to communicate between Egyptian and  foreign exporters, importers and producers.

 

Eng. Sameh Zaky, Cairo Chamber's Board member, Head of foodstuff Division, and Mr. Ahmad Yehyia

welcomed Mr.  Khairul Annuar Abdul Halim, Trade Commissioner Malaysia external trade development

cooperation, Mr. Mohammad Haris Abdul Latiff, Deputy Trade Commissioner , And Mrs. Ghada fayek  from

Marketing officer, commercial section. 

 

 

At the beginning Mr. Ahmed Yehyia welcomed the participants and expressed his pleasure for this visit,

which will contribute to increase the volume of trade and investments between both countries, then he

presented a brief history about the chamber and the activities carried out by traders and the Chamber 's

Commercial divisions.

 

 

He also expressed his desire to work together to consolidate the concepts of mutual relations between both

countries and to emphasize strengthening the relations between the communities and businesses,

participating exhibitions, conferences, and establishing  joint trade and economic entities between Egyptian

– Malaysian businessmen to achieve economic integration between the two countries.

 

From the other side, Mr.  Jerl Anwar, Trade Commissioner was pleased to visit Cairo Chamber wishing to

increase and strengthen relations between the two countries and said that Mrs. Ghada Faayk will be

responsible for the link between the chamber and the consulate Commercial Section , to send all the

exhibitions,which will be held in Malaysia with full data.

 

Mrs.  Ghada mentioned that there will be an international Exhibition Halal Food and Beverage in Kuala

Lumpur - Malaysia ( March 2015), but besides the food and beverage also include other activities such as

medical supplies and medicines - Cosmetics -----.

 

She proposed sending a trade delegation from Cairo Chamber , includes chamber 's members  and special

pavilion will be customized for the delegation to display their products,

 

But in case of  visiting to buy Malaysian products the Malaysian Embassy will bear all the accommodation

costs and internal transports, and she will send full  information as soon as possible.

 

Eng. Sameh Zaky welcomed the guests and expressed his desire to cooperate with them specially with

improving the economic situation in Malaysia after Appling franchise which is considered a solution to help

commercial development, in addition to this type of investment will contribute in solving the unemployment

crisis, and reducing Malaysian workers from working  outside, and increasing investment in small and

medium enterprises, including raising of the product or service quality offered to the consumer.

 

 Mr. Jerl Anwar, Trade Commissioner said that recently  they to have turned  to develop domestic

products  for reducing imported goods, which will contribute in  developing manpower and raise the

efficiency of human resource.

 

At the end of the meeting Mr.  Jerl Anwar thanked Cairo Chamber's members for warm reception and

hospitality added that he will cooperate with the chamber, which is considered the most important authority

to increase trade exchange between Egypt and Malaysia.

hoping for more fruitful cooperation which positively resulting in increasing the volume of trade exchange

between the two countries
