Based on the vital role carried out by Cairo Chamber of Commerce to find appropriate ways of

communication between Egyptian and foreign producers, Exporters, and importers.

From this point Public Relations Department in coordination with Commercial division department

organized a meeting at the chamber headquarters in the presence of Dr. / Kurt Altman commercial

counselor of Austria in Egypt, Sudan and South Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia.

This meeting has been held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 headed by Mr. Sameh Zaky, Board

member and Mr. Khaled Mustafa, General Director of Public Relations Department.

The first b2b meeting: Mr. Mahmoud Wahdan, owner of garment factory (Wahdan) talked about imported

and exported products,  and displayed clothing Catalogues of his products.

The second meeting: Mr. Ahmed al-Douri sales manager at Hilton hotel talked about the occupancy rate

of the hotel, Said that the Recent events have affected negatively on tourism as the occupancy rate in

the hotel varied, because it is located beside Tahrir Square, so there is an instability in some cases, but

the security is doing its best to provide the means of hotel protection.

The third meeting: Mr. Youssef Ibrahim Toshiba sales manager who presented a CD of Toshiba factories,

explaining that they have several electrical appliances factories, in Banha and Quesna (Menoufia

Governorate). He Mentioned that Haj Mahmoud Al Araby- Toshiba ALAraby owner, is one of the most

well-known person in Japan, where the company is superior to many companies in reputation and efficiency

in electrical appliances, also the company is exporting to many Arab and African countries.

Mr. Yousef Ibrahim invites the commercial counselor to visit the Toshiba's factories and his excellency

promised to accept the invitation in the near future.

The fourth meeting: Mr. Sameh Zaky, board member who confirmed that Egypt imports many products from

Austria such as chicken stock cubes - Herbs - Medical and organic products to minimize the use of harmful

bio-products.

He also said that Egypt is on track to build economic development.

The fifth meeting: Mr. Ahmed Yehyia, head of the foodstuffs Division has expressed his desire to cooperate

with Austria in importing machines to produce cheese and for packaging on the other side he wants to

export olive oil to Austria.

The commercial counselor welcomed what Mr. Ahmed said, advising to increase cooperation via Internet

so the traders can access information and begin activating commercial transactions.

Sixth Meeting: Mr. Abdul Hamid ,trader of Men’s Shoes and Leather Products,who has factories in Cairo,

Port Said and Banha, is considered one of manufacturers of the finest leather shoes with good price.

He also displayed catalogues of footwear products.

The seventh meeting: Mr. Ahmed Mosalamy, member of Medical Supplies Division, exports medical

supplies and syringes estimated at 150 million $ a year and also export to Brazil, Africa and many countries

around the world.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Kurt Altman commercial counselor of Austria in Egypt request e-email of all

in order to activate communication and cooperation with them, He also showed his gratitude for the warm

reception and hospitality wishing for further progress and prosperity to Cairo Chamber.
