The industrial development authority addressed holding company for electricity about a recurring complaints of industrial investors concerning power cut in industrial zones, which caused loss and damage to machinery, equipment and production process as a whole.

And the Holding Company for Electricity reported that: -

- it did not cut any power in industrial zones on purpose, but as a result of heavy loads due to high temperatures during the summer peak period, to preserve the national network stable. It rationalizes consumption pre-agreement with the factories by reducing loads on public feeder line with medium voltage and reduces some of the loads for some factories on Voltages 66.132.220 million K.V. during peak period and in certain days selected by national control.

- All periodic maintenance for programmed equipment networks at industrial zones are not made except after coordination with the factories and often made on Fridays and public holidays.

- The situation is now stable after the end of the peak summer season and low temperatures. The program of alleviating loads only activates in emergency circumstances, so factories must keep diesel machines (emergency) operating in emergency circumstances that may occur to the electricity network.

So all the investors in case of power supply damage please submit the following data to the General Authority for industrial development:-

(Company name - address - telephone - fax - email - days of power cut - contact person and his mobile).
