Mr. Ahmed Al Zeiny, head of building material dealers Division at Cairo Chamber of Commerce Said that

there is a slight decline in iron and cement prices at the local market,

This was due to the recession as a result of holidays New Year's Eve Celebrations,  

Where steel pricesranging between 5 thousand pounds to 5100 pounds, down an average of 70 pounds

per ton, as the price of cement ranges between 650 to 700 pounds per ton, down 50 pounds per ton.

He also pointed to the need to reduce the manufacturers of building materials to their prices in the

next year, in response to this decline in demand.
