Cairo Chamber discusses trade cooperation increase with the Embassy of South Africa

Al Araby : Egyptian - South ٍAfrican Business Council for opening new

 

prospects of trade relations between the two countries.

 

Ibrahim Al Araby- Cairo Chamber's Chairman said that The Chamber will have a major role in

 

supportingthe South African-Egyptian relations in the coming period, especially with forming

 

Egyptian- South ٍAfrican Business Council by the Egyptian union for investors currently.

 

This came during a visit of  Mrs. Nolotan domayndi - the South Africa's Ambassador in Cairo to

 

the Chamber for discussing relations between the two countries.

 

Al- Araby said that the Chamber's Commercial Divisions include most of the products and goods that

 

can support this Cooperation and thus increasing the Trade volume

 

 
 between the two countries in the coming period.
 
 
He explained that the participation of non-governmental sectors such as chambers of commerce,
 
 
and Business Associations, supports trade and investment relations between the two countries,
 
 
especially It is not at the required level and not up to The status of the two countries.
 
 
The Chamber's Chairman confirmed that  forming the South African-Egyptian Business Council
 
 
would create a suitable climate for the activation of economic relations and increasing investments
 
 
between Egyptian and South African  companies, Consequently leading to increase trade between
 
 
the two sides.
 
 
 
He pointed out that there will be a connection between the Cairo Chamber  and  Johannesburg
 
 
Chamber  to discuss boosting relations with its members and  forming an Egyptian businessman
 
 
Delegation for visiting South Africa and holding bilateral meetings in various fields .
 
 
He said that the coming period will witness a great effort from the Chamber  for the development of
 
 
Economic relations between companies in the two countries, especially in the South African market to
 
 
export more Egyptian goods.

in respect of women's role .
 
 
She added that The Symposium, which was organized by the South African side in Egypt between
 
 
the Egyptian businesswomen and South Africans in September will be a good start
 
 
To support the relations between the two countries.
 
 
For her part, Ambassador of South Africa said  that there are many investors in South Africa are
 
interested in investing in Egypt and the Egyptian - South African Business Council
 
 
 will greatly help  in developing relations between the two countries.
 
 
And she is expected that the Chamber of Commerce in Johannesburg and Cairo Chamber will have
 
 
a major role in supporting the Egyptian-South African relations in the coming period.
 
 
She added that South Africa will organize a seminar in Egypt  in next September among Egyptian and
 
 
 
South African businesswomen to discuss the revitalization of Economic relations
 
 
and connectivity between them during the next phase.
 
 
It is worth mentioning that the most important Egyptian exports to South Africa, dairy products,
 
 
vegetables and fruit, salt, sulfur, dust and stones, mineral fuels, and mineral oils and inorganic
 
 
chemical products.  
 
 
Egyptian imports from South Africa are  meat, cereals, flour, tobacco, and organic chemical
 
 
products.
 
 
While the value of these exports to South Africa in 2012 until October of $ 500 million, while imports
 
 
at the same period amounted to $78 million.
