Shoes and Leather Products Division calls to discuss the repercussions of the indicative price

The Division of shoes and leather products at Cairo Chamber of Commerce, submitted a memorandum to Eng. Ibrahim AlAraby - Cairo Chamber's Chairman for addressing     Eng. Ibrahim mahlab, the Prime Minister, and Mounir fakhry Abdel Nour, industry and Trade Minister, to intervene to solve the problem of non-released Overstocked goods valued millions of pounds in ports because of the exaggerated customs tariff, which will resulted in increasing the market prices

 

 

Eng. Ibrahim Alraby Said that the Chamber will submit the Division's memorandum   to the of the Prime Minister and the Minister of industry to find appropriate solutions to their problems so as not to harm the manufacturers, importers or owners of businesses and consumers who are parties of the industry and commerce system.

 

 

The Division indicated that the Minister of industry and trade recommendation of setting indicative prices on imported leather products and footwear through the list, which is updated by agreement between customs Authority and the officials of two Chambers of industry and leather tanning. This agreement did not include traders and importers as complementary sides of this system ,in order to be the indicative  prices be Realistic because it includes all parties and takes into account all aspects.

 

 

Mr.  Sherif Yehia has demanded the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade to hold a meeting with importers and shops owners to discuss the consequences of these prices, whether consumers or the market, pointing out that the Chamber of Commerce in favor of the state to get their full rights through the indicative price but You must include a recommendation of manufacturers, importers and traders so there will not be negative effects on any party.
