Cairo Chamber’s Board of Directors, headed by Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Al Araby met Mr. Edmund
banariti the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Albania and Mr. Naudidomi the Albanian Ambassador in
Cairo. the two sides discussed ways of strengthening Egyptian - Albanian trade and economic relations
during the next period.
Al Araby confirmed during the joint meeting that the coming period will witness the organization of
exhibitions and seminars in Egypt and Albania to study projects which increase the bilateral trade
between the two countries, also stressed the need to create shared entities between Egyptian
businessmen and their counterparts in Albania to support the economic relations, and Increasing the
trade exchange during the coming period.
. He added that the two sides should take advantage of this meeting in developing and revitalizing
Business dealings among companies in all sectors. Besides each side should attempt to overcome
the obstacles that could be facing the other side.
Al Araby referred during the meeting to the important role of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce since
its founding in 1913 as the first chamber of commerce in Egypt, where it has about 450 thousand
trader-members ; as it is concerned with organizing the various commercial devisions and working
to resolve the problems inside or outside Egypt.it always strives to find opportunities for integrated
collaboration with their counterparts from Arab and foreign chambers to reach the highest levels of trade.
Mr. Ali Shukri - Deputy Chairman of the Cairo Chamber confirmed that this meeting represents
an important factor in supporting Egyptian- Albanian trade relations in the coming period noting that
the meeting is successful and fruitful by all standards for both parties, and we will take advantage
of this meeting to open joint areas of cooperation and attracting Albanian investments to the Egyptian
market in the next stage. Shukri added that the chamber will try to turn this meeting into practice
to activate Egyptian- Albanian relations, especially that Albania is considered promising country
and deserves attention. The chamber will try to strongly exist in Albanian markets in the future and
To be the lead Chamber of Commerce through its members in exporting Egyptian final products
to them bearing in mind that these products will penetrate the European market.
For his part, Edmund banariti said that the coming stage will witness facilities in all economic actions
between Egypt and Albania,particularly regarding Getting travel visas to Albania.
He added that Albania would like to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in various economic fields,
especially in the agricultural sector, by which Egypt is characterized, pointing out that Albania has spaces
and vast pastures, which can be invested in many fields through cooperation with the Egyptian side,
He stressed also the need of coordination among Egyptian businessmen and their Albanian
counterparts to increase trade relations in the coming period.
The meeting is included besides Eng. Ibrahim Al Araby and Mr. Ali Shukri ,
Mr. Basha Idris - Treasurer Assistant,Mr. Atef Ashmouni- the general secretary, and the board members
