The Union of Arab Chambers demands Priority for Arab products in government procurements

General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries demanded that the Arab Summit held in Sham el sheikh should issue a decision on Giving priority to the Arab products in government procurement for the Arab States, which aiming at developing Inter-Arab trade, deepening industry and promoting cooperation and complementarity between the various sectors in all Arab countries.

 

This demand based on the decision of the Arab Union's Board of Directors which was held in Beirut on Sunday.

the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers proposed that the preference will be for Arab products of Arab origin, according to the rules of Arab origin as well as to the services offered by companies established in Arab countries such as contracting, air, sea and land transportation, and consultancy etc., And it has been guided by the recommendations of the new Egyptian law, which gives preference to local products in government procurements.
