Increasing the local product of women's, children's footwear and women's bags

Division of makers and traders of shoes at Cairo Chamber of Commerce confirmed that the domestic product ratio in Women's shoes, children and women's bags rose in a short period up to 15% of the total products in the market compared to previous years, which was up to 5%.

 

 

 

Mr. / Sherif Yehia head of the division, attributed this increase to the recent government's decisions which including the raising of guiding prices, along with the difficult measures for importers like foreign currency and increase the risk of importing compared to domestic production. he stressed that the Division is supporting small and medium-sized workshops to ensure the marketing of their products and increase local production rates, the division is not exclusively for traders only, but represents manufacturers, traders, importers and working to solve all their problems.

 

 

As for the shoes market for males he has made it clear that the local market is based on more than 95% of the local products and enough for market needs, but The market witnessed a noticeable recession during the last period despite the Easter holiday because of increasing both the prices and the purchasing power of citizens.
