Mercedes - Benz Company denied its withdrawal of the Egyptian market on the impact of its decision

to pull up assembling cars locally and depend on the imported one.

Added that the company has been established this manufacturing project in Egypt in 1997 in order to

provide luxury cars at a competitive price but after entering Egyptian-European partnership agreement into

force, which will make customs on European cars to reach to zero% early in 2020, so the cost of importing

a car has become lower than manufactured locally.

Based on that, this decision was taken in favor of the Egyptian consumer.
