Under the slogan of Arab African economic integration towards a better future, with the presence of
Mr. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Tripartite Summit of the Heads of State and Government will
be held in Sharm El Sheikh from 9-11 June 2015.
The summit is going during this meeting to launch the Tripartite Free Trade Area, which includes
the Common Market for Eastern and Southern African Community (COMESA), East African
Community (EAC) and Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).
The aim of the Tripartite FTA is the economic and social development of East South Africa.
This aim will be achieved by increasing trade among its member states, attracting local and foreign
investments especially in the industrial sector, reducing unemployment, alleviating poverty and
improving the quality of life for its people.
The Tripartite Summit of Sharm El Sheikh will be a major milestone in the movement towards the
continental economic integration of Africa.
