At the beginning of the meeting, Eng / Ibrahim AlAraby welcomed him and stressed the importance of increasing trade relations between Egypt and Romania, referring to the importance of cooperation between businessmen, traders and Romanian counterparts in order to increase trade exchange between the both countries. he pointed out that the Chamber is seeking to contribute in strengthening trade and economic relations between both countries and always supporting the exchange of visits between the business organizations of the two countries and increasing trade fairs in both countries to get to know all of the products in both markets.
He also talked About the Chamber's history, which was established as the first General Chamber of Commerce in 1913 and includes 60 different commercial divisions represents 500 thousand trader- members and is working to find appropriate ways of communication between exporters and importers Egyptians, foreigners, and is seeking to find opportunities integrated cooperation between the Arab and foreign Chambers to reach the highest trade and economic exchange levels.
Minister Counselor was pleased with this visit and said that there were two trade delegations from Egypt they visited Romania last yearand the visit was a fruitful the two countries and a Romanian trade delegation specialized in construction materials will visit the Arab Republic of Egypt during the month of October after Eid al-Adha and expressed his desire to coordinate with the Chamber for organizing trade missions between the two countries to visit the exhibitions and exchange of business opportunities.
Then Dr. / Abdul Aziz asked for the possibility of importing poultry from Romania.
the Minister counselor replied that there are negotiations on a certificate of health specifications and currently being coordinated between the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, represented by the Department of Veterinary Services and their counterparts in Romania and these procedures will be terminated before Eid El Fitr .
Eng / Ibrahim AlAraby suggested organizing a meeting with Egyptian Minister of Agriculture to quickly finish health certification procedures.
Mr. El Basha Idris said that he suffered in dealing with one of the Romanian food companies because of lack of commitment to the contract between them and stressed that there should be a positive role for the Romanian trade Office in solving such problems.
Mr. Sameh Zaki requested from Minister Counselor to provide the Chamber with the names of Romanian authenticated companies in all fields so that Egyptian companies would not exposed to fraud.
The Minister supported this idea and said he will send the names of companies to increase cooperation with the Chamber for developing the balance of trade between the two countries as the total trade volume in 2014 was $ 897 million, which increased compared with 2013, which was US $ 685 million.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Counselor thanked them for the warm reception and that he would cooperate with the Chamber, which considers the most important organization, to increase trade exchange between Egypt and Romania.
