Ministry of Supply decreases high prices

In the framework of President  Sisi directives t government for providing goods and services to citizens at affordable prices, the Ministry of Supply has taken a number of measures that would control the price rises that dominated the market in the last period, including the provision of refrigerated transferring cars containing vegetables, fresh meat and fruits at reasonable prices in addition to the decision of increasing subsides on Supply Commodities by 50% in the month of Ramadan starting from the first of June and to the end of the month for all the beneficiaries of the Supply Card.

 

Dr. / Khaled Hanafy Minister of Supply has confirmed that this comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness on availability of goods during the holy month, adding that it was agreed with one of the large retail markets network to establish 6 modern markets in Cairo and will be opened during the current year, and the establishment of 10 other markets in other governorates and it will be completed within a year with a view to the stability of many consumer goods prices to serve the citizens.

 

He  explained that prices in the consuming cooperatives and mobile cars  available for low-income people, pointing out that transferring large amounts of fruit and vegetables from the wholesale markets to small  retailers is studied to reduce transportation costs and encourage them to sell goods at discounted prices.
