Al-Abd: high prices of Kahk because of increased prices of raw materials

Major General / Salah Al- Abd Cairo Chamber's treasurer and head of the dessert Division explained that the increase in Kahk (Egyptian cookies), biscuits, feast sweets because of the high price of  ingredients such as flour, sugar and margarine This along with rising prices of labor and electricity, noting that the increase in line with inflation rates.

 

He also added that the dessert factories rely on imported sugar 100% of the high quality and purity and free of impurities, explaining that the domestic sugar extracted from sugar cane, which has a negative impact on the purity of sweets.
