The COMESA Business Council looking to increase trade after opening new Suez Canal

The Comesa business Council will held its annual conference next month in Nairobi, to discuss

means of enhancing trade exchange and development between their members after opening new Suez

Canal.

 

Chairperson of the CBC Dr Amany Asfour said  that the conference will be attended by a large number

of transport ministers in the 19 COMESA member states, led by Eng. Hani Dahi, Egyptian Minister of

Transport, in addition to business organizations,  federation of Chambers of commerce, federation of

Industries, and representatives of the private sector in the COMESA countries.

 

She noted that the conference will discuss all issues related by facilitating all lines of transportation

maritime, land and air.

 

The conference also will take advantage of the strategic location and comparative advantages offered

by the new Suez Canal.
