The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade opened the door for participation in Summer Sale, which will begin on 17 August, the ministry expected rise in the number of shops participate on sale to 3 thousands of the public and private sector companies and reductions will range between 5 and 50 %, in order to revitalize the local market demand.

Dr. Khalid Hanafy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade said that participation in sale are available to all traders in all types of goods, pointing out that each trader is free to choose the rate reduction granted on the prices of goods on condition that the reduction is real and that goods offered in accordance with the specifications and standards.  The participants should abide by a prior approval from the Directorate of supply in their constituency and declares the price of the commodity offered for sale before and after the reduction so that buyer can be sure of the reduction. 

The minister said that there is a hotline No. 19280 to receive complaints from citizens of any manipulation of the market, whether in the period of sale or in another period, in addition to the hotline for consumer protection, 19588.

Dr. Sayed Hagag ,the President of the domestic trade sector at the Ministry of Supply  confirmed that the inspectors will lead  intensive campaigns during the period of the Summer Sale on the market, according to specific plan including major malls, markets and shops participated in commercial sales to ensure the commitment of traders to the real reductions during the period of the sale and preventing the misleading advertising of any untrue discounts .
