Mounir Fakhry Abdelnour, The Minister of Industry and Trade of small and medium-sized enterprises, announced that it is scheduled to issue a decision by the Prime Minister soon to implement electronic link to all points of the port community, which comes under the implementation of the Egyptian Trade Network Project for the development of trade and facilitation for exporters and importers. This project contribute in facilitating the exchange of information, integration and connectivity between agencies and bodies within the Egyptian ports and automate all business for clients whether exporters or importers.

The minister stressed that this project is aimed at improving the trade climate and providing the appropriate environment for Egyptian and foreign trade ,besides facilitating all measures of transport operations, customs clearance and entry and exit of commodities from the ports, whether the marine, air and land and improve all services provided quickly and efficiently in accordance with international standards.

This came during the opening of the first phase of the Electronic link  to facilitate the movement of international trade in Alexandria Port by the ministers of trade, transport and finance  and with the participation of Ahmed Al-Wakeel ,Chairman of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce , Alaa Abdul-Karim ,Chairman of exports and imports Control Authority, Dr. Magdy Abdel Aziz, head of the Customs Department , General Atef al-Fekiy, Assistant of Minister of Finance and General Abdel Qader Darwish, head of Alexandria Port Authority.
