H.E Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Trade and Industry issued a ministerial decree

No. 606, Year 2015 to stop exporting all kinds of rice abroad starting from the first of September,

noted that this decision does not apply on breaking rice and export licenses issued before this date.

For his Part, Al Basha Idris, Cairo chamber Treasurer and Exporter Division chief supported this

decision as it serves the Egyptian citizen, and will lead to the abundance of rice quantities and hence

the price stability.

Al Basha said, in spite of its negative impact on exporters but we must all support this decision

to achieve the interests of our country.
