Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministry of Electricity and Cairo Chamber to rationalize lighting in shops

The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and Cairo Chamber of Commerce are currently signing joint protocol of cooperation for providing technical support, and implementation of  a project to improve lighting systems for commercial shops affiliated to the Chamber, through a project of improving the energy efficiency of lighting systems and electric appliances of United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

 

Engineer / Ibrahim  AlAraby , Cairo Chamber's  Chairman and Vice President of the Egyptian Federations of Chambers of Commerce explained that the terms of the protocol under study to achieve the greatest benefit, and it is expected to be signed soon.

 

He added that this comes within the framework of the implementation of the state plan for improving electrical energy efficiency and energy conservation in all sectors of the state and there is a common desire between all parties to take all necessary measures to raise consumer awareness in this regard and the dissemination of application for improving energy efficiency in all establishments of Cairo Chamber's members.

 

Accordingly, the Chamber will nominate a number of shops affiliated based on the seriousness of the store management in the implementation of this project to urge the rest of the stores for participating in this program, along with participation in conferences and seminars that will be held in this regard to spreading a culture of energy conservation.
