Engineer Tariq Qabil- Minister of Trade and Industry- confirmed that currently exhaustive listing of industrial units and small industries in Cairo, the new area known as the 1000 factories are being made and by a committee was formed from the Industrial Development Authority and finished approximately 25% of the total factories to identify the nature of each unit and the most important problems faced by both factories that have already started the production or are being created.

This came during the Minister's tour to some factories of industrial zone in New Cairo accompanied by Engineer Ismail Jaber, President of the General Authority for Industrial Development.

He also explained that the ministry of Trade and industry have coordination with all the concerned authorities e.g. the Ministries of Housing , Electricity and internal affairs to facilitate all the necessary procedures, licenses, adding that he issued a few days ago a decision to grant a free timeout for extra projects established to facilitate fr investors to terminate the remaining procedures to operating their factories quickly whether the completion of construction , licensing or change activity within the limit of granted time. He pointed out that the ministry is closely following up the implementation of the commitment of producers so that all the necessary measures will be taken against laggards.
