50% financial support for the first 10 shops applying energy-saving initiative

Cairo Chamber of Commerce announced of providing financial support by 50% for the first 10 shops are applying initiative of improved lighting systems, provided that they should be members of the chamber. This came after signing joint protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy for providing technical support, and implementation of a project to improve lighting systems for commercial shops affiliated to the Chamber, through a project of improving the energy efficiency of lighting systems and electric appliances of United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

 

Eng. Ibrahim AlAraby- Cairo Chamber's  Chairman and Vice President of the Egyptian Federations of Chambers of Commerce said  that this comes within the framework of the implementation of the state plan for improving electrical energy efficiency and energy conservation in all sectors of the state and there is a common desire between all parties to take all necessary measures to raise consumer awareness in this regard and the dissemination of application for improving energy efficiency in all establishments of Cairo Chamber's members.

 

He added that the project is useful for commercial shops, which contributes in rationalizing electricity consumption and reducing its financial costs, consequently will reduce the prices of goods, and at the end in favor of the shop and the citizen.
