Kabil: Egyptian Belarusian Trade Commission meeting to be held in Cairo next March

Engineer Tariq Kabil Minister of Trade and Industry announced that Cairo will host mid-March events of the third joint meeting of the Egyptian Belarusian Trade Committee, in order to promote mutual trade and investment cooperation between the two countries during the next phase.

 

He added that he met with Sergei Rachkov Belarus ambassador in Cairo, which dealt with ways of boosting trade and industrial relations between the two countries.

 

The minister said that the meeting dealt with the importance of the free trade agreement that is being discussed between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Community, which will contribute in bringing about distinct shift in relations, stressing Egypt's keenness to give a boost to talks between the technical experts of the two sides to speed up the start of negotiation and access to joint free trade zone.

 

He stressed that the review with the Ambassador of Belarus in Cairo for activating joint cooperation in the industrial field especially with regard to the manufacture of trucks, tractors and agricultural equipment, pointing to the importance of coordination between the two countries' private sectors and optimizing the development of joint economic relations through the exchange of visits between businessmen in both countries.

 

For his part, Sergei Rachkov Belarus Ambassador in Cairo confirmed that his country is keen on strengthening economic cooperation with Egypt, especially since Egypt is one of the most promising markets in the Middle East and African region, pointing out that the last phase have developed in joint economic relations, as the Egyptian exports to the market of Belarus increased especially agricultural crops exports of vegetables and fruits.
