British trade mission in Egypt next January

Ashraf Salman, Minister of Investment Revealed that a delegation of British companies will visit Egypt to identify the investment opportunities. He explained that most of these companies do not exist in Egypt and want to identify investment opportunities and new projects.

 

He pointed out that Britain is the largest investor in Egypt, stressing that the talks with the British oil companies were fruitful when it announced one of the companies for production in the first half of 2017 after it had been declared in 2018, which will save Egypt's hard currency out, and make the gas costs less.

 

Salman added that the direct investment funds, such as "Actis" confirmed their promise to pump $ 350 million in Egypt during 2016, and this after fruitful visit of Sisi to Britain.

 

With respect to the decision of British Prime Minister David Cameron to appoint a special envoy for him to develop trade relations with Egypt, Minister of Investment said that he will have  prominent role in leading various trade delegations to visit Egypt, and  his first task will be  organizing visit of the English delegation to  Egypt in January next year to identify investment and development and various projects in Suez Canal, and  also they  discuss increasing  investments  f English companies that already exist in Egypt.

 

With regard to development in the axis of the Suez Canal, the Minister of Investment said that the British side expressed interest in investing in it, especially in the field of renewable energy and infrastructure. Investors demanded to identify the projects in detail in the field of telecommunications and petrochemicals.
