An Initiative to reduce the prices of 27 commodities by 40% in Hypermarkets

Dr. Essam Fayed the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced that the ministry has reduced the prices between 10 and 20% in meat, fish and food commodities and the prices of fruits and vegetables.

 

He Demanded that we should strengthen control on the 150 outlets of the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure their adherence to the prices and good quality noting  ,that the ministry provides mini cars with  cheap commodities for  slums and the most needy villages.

 

Pursuant to President Sisi instructions to reduce prices and ease the burden on citizens, a number of large hypermarkets of private sector decided to implement a new initiative to reduce food prices as of next Sunday,includes 27 commodity reductions and continue until the end of the year.

The initiative comes in implementation of the agreement between Dr. Khaled Hanafy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade with a number of major trading companies in Egypt.

 

Herve Ma jejda, Regional Director of the Global Foundation "Carrefour Middle Eas"t, announced that it will reduce the prices of 27 food and non-food  items inside Carrefour branches by up to 40% of next Sunday, as part of social role by private sector in coordination with the government represented by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade

 

Herve jediea Regional Director of the Foundation Carrefour Global Middle East and said he will reduce the prices of 27 food items and non-food increased by cuts of between 10% and 40% a societal role that could be played by the private sector subtracting all food and non-food goods at discounted prices from markets in its subsidiaries, affiliates of both the consumer and wholesale and my company car to provide mobile meet the needs of all citizens, especially low-income people.

 

 He stressed during a press conference held at the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade that the prices of  goods will be reduced including sugar, rice, oil, flour, pasta and sauce, tuna, milk, juices, soap and detergents and 65 new branch of the company will be established in all the governorates of Egypt over the next five years in addition to a large number of logistics centers to save grain, vegetables and fruits for the sale of food commodities to citizens in appropriate prices and providing many jobs, noting that 99% of the labor are Egyptians. He explained that it was agreed to buy large quantities of products from the Holding Company for Food Industries and offered for sale in shopping malls and chains.
