Based on the vital role of Cairo Chamber to encourage traders and increase the national consciousness of the Arab Republic of Egypt and encourage domestic and foreign investment, Cairo Chamber participated in seminar on the national campaign for raising awareness and improvement of energy efficiency. This seminar comes in the framework of consumer awareness of energy saving because of the circumstances faced by Egypt and saving billions of pounds from the State Treasury to provide all sources of energy for investment in various industries.

And Dr. Khaled HANAFY Minister of supply and internal trade participated in the seminar with a number of experts in the energy field and civil society associations working in the field of consumer protection in the presence of Atef yacob Chairman of Consumer Protection Agency and a number of its members, said that there is a national trend for raising energy efficiency and not to reduce the consumption of citizens. This trend aims at producing more energy at lower cost is a new philosophy for the management of power system.

Mr. Ali Shoukry the first Vice Chairman of Cairo Chamber also expressed his happiness about participating in this seminar, which is aimed at promoting awareness of the concept and importance of improving the energy efficiency of lighting and appliances consumption under the auspices of Consumer Protection Agency.

He also added that from this point Cairo Chamber will coordinate  with consumer protection and project management system in providing Financial support to its members by 50% for the first 10 shops applying lighting systems initiative which covered through project management.
