Dr. / Khaled Hanafy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade said that the poultry sector is one of the important sectors and the ministry works to resolve the problems facing the sector, so as to reduce production costs.

He pointed out that the ministry will provide feed from soybeans and corn at discounted rates for companies operating in the field of poultry within the framework of raising the capacity of the poultry industry and encourages investment in this field and provided poultry products of suitable prices for all citizens.

He also started supplying chicken according to  the cooperation protocol signed recently with poultry producers association and initially includes the supply of 2,000 tons of poultry and 2000 tons of local chicken thighs ,whose price will  not exceed 19 and a half pounds per kg and poultry will not exceed £ 20 per kg in all branches of supermarkets and wholesale companies, which is instead of imported Chickens and to promote local production and support of national industry and provide discounted chicken suitable for low-income
