Moves to increase Egypt's exports to Russia after import ban from Turkey

Eng. Tarek Qabil, Minister of trade and industry said that coordination is being made with various export councils to discuss increasing Egyptian exports to the Russian market, in the light of Russia imposed restrictions on some imports from the Turkish market, pointing out that there were consultations with the Russian side to identify the most important items needed during the next phase.

 

 

He added that he assigned the head of the trade representation to hold intensive meetings with the Russian trade counselor in Cairo, to facilitate the entry of Egyptian exports to the Russian market, he also held an expanded meeting with the heads of the Export Council for agricultural and food industries, garments, home furnishings, and stressed that the visit of Russian businessmen delegation to Egypt in Mid-January next year, represents a significant opportunity for coordination between the Egyptian and Russian counterparts.
