President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised on Wednesday 16/12/2015 efforts exerted to apply an initiative to provide commodities in the Egyptian market at fair prices.

This came during Sisi's meeting with producers of food commodities and representatives of commercial chains in Egypt.

Attending the meeting was Minister of Supply Khalid Hanafy.

Sisi thanked all companies which played a role in rendering the initiative a success, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

The State is keen on providing the basic needs for Egyptians at fair prices and combating all forms of corruption, Sisi added.

He also called for continuing the application of the initiative in the coming period and praised cooperation between the public and private sectors in Egypt.

Sisi ordered forming a governmental panel to discuss measures to facilitate the issuance of licenses to commercial chains to help them open more branches across the country, especially in Upper Egypt.

Ahmad AlWakil, President of the General federation of Chambers of Commerce confirmed that the meeting f  President Sisi with a number of large commercial chains coming under price reduction initiative, because the next period requires more planning and studies to ensure price stability with the need for new investments, that can create jobs for young people.
